The Pagoda Aluminium Perforated Ceiling was conceptualized as a cost-effective, modular acoustic enhancement for the interiors of the Global Vipassana Pagoda—a spiritual space where silence, clarity, and ambient comfort are paramount.
Covering 1,500 sq. ft, the system utilizes 0.5 mm aluminium perforated sheets backed with high-performance acoustic felt, delivering a clean and subtle surface that significantly enhances sound absorption.
A digital render demo was created before moving into technical drawing production. The design embraced:
Modularity: Standardized units for easy planning and repetitive manufacturing
Grid-based Layout: Logical planning aligned with spatial symmetry
Controlled Perforation: Visual lightness and consistent acoustic dispersion
This approach ensured rapid fabrication, reduced material wastage, and simplified site execution—all while maintaining a serene visual tone suited for a meditative public space.
Each ceiling module was manufactured with precision-cut aluminium panels, backed by acoustic felt for sound attenuation. The entire system was engineered for longevity and ease of maintenance.

The installation was laser-guided, modular, and streamlined for efficiency:
Prefabricated aluminium channels were aligned and fixed.
Laser tools ensured level installation.
Perforated ceiling panels were mounted in sequence.
Acoustic layers were integrated behind each module.
This minimized on-site labor time, kept acoustics aligned with design, and allowed immediate usability.
The completed ceiling achieves a minimalist acoustic solution that supports both thermal performance and auditory comfort, especially in a setting where peace and stillness are central to visitor experience.
